Relax at one of Cornwall’s most beautiful and secluded caravan sites, in the tiny village of Polkerris near Fowey.
Polkerris Beachside Caravans is a small, family run static caravan park, which enjoys a relaxed atmosphere. There are amazing views across St. Austell Bay and the park is located just up from the popular beach at Polkerris. Close by are many lovely walks - coastal, riverside and inland. The spectacular international attraction of the Eden Project is only four miles away, as the crow flies.
The park is home to seven caravans arranged carefully on a terraced, grassy site overlooking the sea. A two-minute stroll down a hedge-lined lane will take you to a sandy private beach, complete with harbour wall, rock pools, watersports centre, cafe, the renowned Rashleigh Inn and 'Sams on the Beach', a very popular and stylish restaurant. Polkerris is popular with parents, who tell us that their children can enjoy a degree of freedom here that they may not have at home or on a big, impersonal caravan site.
Polkerris Beachside Caravans are operated by the Polkerris Beach Company, which also operates the watersports centre as well as the beach itself, the popular Polkadot Café and the beach shop. The Polkerris Beach Company is owned and run by the Shillito family, who are committed to making Polkerris a great place to stay and enjoy the wonderful natural facilities that it offers, while striving to operate the business as sustainably as possible. In 2009, the caravans and site were graded 3-star (very good) by Visit Britain, in association with the Fowey Tourist Information Centre.
