What to expect

We want you to have a detailed and accurate understanding of the caravans and park to inform your booking decision and make the most of your holiday. The site has a 3-star (very good) grading from Visit Britain, in association with the Fowey Tourist Information Centre. The majority of the photos on this website were taken in 2012 or early this year.

Situation

The caravans are situated on a small site in an elevated position about 100m from the beach. There are seven caravans in total, arranged in two terraces, five on the upper terrace and two on the lower terrace. All of them are new Atlas Gemini/Florida Excel 28x10's. They are carefully arranged so that all have views due West across the bay; the upper terrace has slightly better views than the lower but that is offset by easier access to the latter. Note that there is no provision for tents, touring caravans or motor-homes.

Facilities

The caravans sleep a maximum of six people. There is a room with a double bed, a room with two singles (6'x2') and the living room area which has a fold-out double bed. One of the single beds can be stored under the other to make room for a travel cot. The kitchen has a gas cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and crockery for six people, plus a comprehensive range of cooking utensils. The living room area has a dining table, digital TV/DVD and gas fire. The bathroom has a toilet, basin and shower, with water heated by gas (included in price). There is an electric towel heater in the bathroom, and fan heaters in the bedrooms. Interior photos can be found on the Gallery page. Outside, there is a decking area equipped with a table, chairs and barbeque. Between the caravans, there is grass which we mow regularly.

When you book a caravan you have the option to book bed linen at extra cost. Linen is then provided for the number of people in your party. Note that this service is for bed linen only; you need to bring towels and tea towels. Note that we do not provide travel cots.

New for 2013, we have a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Use of the washing machine is free; the tumble dryer is coin-operated.

We are fortunate to have a mobile phone signal on all of the networks. There is no WiFi network on the site but free access is available on your own laptop or other device, down at the beach.

Suitability

The site is ideal for families, booking one or more caravans. It also suits couples and anyone who appreciates the peace, seclusion and beautiful views that it offers. The site is not suitable for the following: groups of students or under-21s (except by specific arrangement), more than four adults in one caravan, anyone wanting to party. Pets are not accepted. Smoking is not permitted in the caravans.

Access

The driveway to the site is steep but wide, allowing one marked parking space for each caravan. From the driveway, there are lighted pathways. There are three or four steps up to the decking area outside each caravan. If any of your group has mobility problems, please note that the entrance to the site is steep, and you should make us aware so that we can allocate a caravan with the easiest access.

Which caravan?

When you make a reservation, we allocate a caravan for you. You can request a specific caravan if you wish for a small extra charge, and while we can usually accommodate such requests, that isn't guaranteed.

• Caravans 1 & 2 have the easiest access
• Caravans 3, 4 & 5 have the best views
• Caravans 6 & 7 have more privacy and outside space
